The idea to give 25 acts of goodness (give my age) came to me before my 25th birthday. One thing led to another and it turned into 25 at 25. Here is why Im doing it.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been super down for helping out for a good cause. Truthfully, I probably don’t even blink an eye because I know its always worth my time and effort. This year, I wanted to highlight that a little more in my life because Ive begun to see the light clearer nowadays. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.
It is my duty to live in that light.
I started with #1 Serve the Homeless on my 25th birthday. I thought, instead of going out to a nice restaurant where my kind friends annually pick up my tab, why not instead have my friends put that money and energy towards cooking dinner and joining in on conversations with the homeless? Jackpot! I was stoked.
Throughout the planning process and the actual day, I got so much positive feedback that I became even more inspired. Inspired to get out of my comfort zone and share these moments of grace with anyone that wants to join me. So now, I’ve modified my 25 at 25 initiative and am challenging myself by sharing with you - my family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike on the world wide web.
